Kuratau River Luxury Chalets

Nestled in the centre of our peaceful vineyard you’ll find our 2 and 3 bedroom chalets. These private hideaways feature a spacious, open and comfortable living space with well-appointed kitchen facilities. With floor to ceiling windows you’ll feel like you’re a part of the vineyard, that’s if you can drag yourself away from the verandah and that glass of wine!

The bedrooms are beautifully furnished, and the sumptuous linen on the luxurious beds is all provided, so you can’t fail to enjoy a well-earned and restful night’s sleep. And in the morning you can start the day feeling refreshed and revitalised thanks to our complimentary hand-made, natural toiletries.

Tastefully decorated the chalets also feature stunning prints of local scenery that can be purchased from the Winery & Café, which is just a few steps away. You can see a few samples of these captivating scenes in our image gallery.

The chalets are a short walk (that’s a ramble for your British folks!) to historic Lake Taupo or the enchanting Kuratau River for a spot of fishing. Or why not take a kayak and enjoy the serenity of a leisurely 20-minute paddle to the river mouth where a stunning beach awaits you.

You can swim, sail, water ski or let us book you a rafting trip on the mighty Tongariro River. Try fly-fishing the rip if it takes your fancy, and if you’re successful we’ll even cook your prize for you in our café! Give us a call and we’ll arrange the fishing gear if necessary and sort out an expert guide as well.

During the colder, winter months why not try snow skiing at the awesome Whakapapa skifield. It’s conveniently located, taking just 45 minutes to reach the Top o’ the Bruce, and access to the exhilarating skiing that Mt Ruapehu has waiting for you.
